Ellis gets on War Monkeys

David Ellis is turning into quite the wanted director as he’s in the middle of talks to be the latest addition to the upcoming feature War Monkeys. He’ll be taking the directorial reigns of the production with a script written by Cleve Nettles. War Monkeys follows two guys trapped in an underground research facility with military-trained Rhesus monkeys (ShockTillYouDrop).

Mind you, this isn’t set in stone, but given the track record that Ellis has with productions in the last few months it would be no surprise to have him locked in by the end of the Cannes Film Festival. The Final Destination director is also latched on to Milwaukee, an upcoming crime drama that’s still knee deep in pre-production. Along with that, he’s got to prep for Shark Night 3D and the mystery/thriller Bad Luck. His plate is completely topped off once you add in the thriller Six Days Till Midnight that he’s set to direct, showing that he’s going to be quite the busy person in these next few years.
