Ellis and Christensen find a Genesis Code

Hayden Christensen is teaming up with Snakes on a Plane director David R. Ellis in order to bring to the big screen Genesis Code, states Arrow in the Head. The novel, written by John Case, centers on Joe Lassiter, an ex-FBI investigator whose sister and young nephew have been murdered. In his quest for revenge he learns of a discovery that has alarmed the Vatican so much that they have charged a right-wing fundamentalist hit-squad to destroy all evidence of it. Christensen will be taking on the lead role, no word on who will be adapting it for the big screen.

Ellis’ recent directorial piece was The Final Destination, which took in a reasonable chunk of money. He’s currently in the middle of pre-production on the crime drama entitled Milwaukee, a story about a vengeful cop falls hard for a headstrong young widow who helps him hunt down his father’s killers in 1950′s Milwaukee.

Christensen will be appearing this August 20th on the big screen co-starring with Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Chris Brown, Jay Hernandez and Zoe Saldana in Takers.
