Edward Norton wants in on Batman 3

As Christopher Nolan continues to write the final script for Batman 3, the rumor mill continues to turn.

There’s supposedly a big announcement on the film coming by the end of year, but until then, we’re stuck with more rumors about Batman’s next villain. One more name you can expect to show up is former Hulk, Edward Norton.

Norton spoke with IGN about his falling with Marvel, and revealed that he would love a villainous role in Batman 3. “Chris Nolan’s making the best [comic book films] out there by far. I’d do one with him. He’s set a new bar for sure, and I think he’s done a great, great job. [Playing a villain] would be fun, I would not say no to that,” he said. It’s widely speculated that The Riddler will play a role in Nolan’s film, but there’s still no confirmation on that. The only thing we know about the film so far is that The Joker won’t be returning and that it’s release is slated for July of 2012.
