Edgar Wright still going ahead with Ant-Man
We haven’t heard anything about the Marvel property Ant-Man in a long while, and one of the main reasons has to do with Edgar Wright. He’s got his hands full with getting Scott Pilgrim vs. the World ready for it’s August 13th release, so of course any news on Ant-Man is scarce, until now. MTV got to talk to the super awesome writer and director and got some cool new information on the Marvel Studios picture.:
“Once I finish ['Scott Pilgrim'] and collapse for at least a month, I’m going to get back into writing it,” he said. “I wrote a draft before ‘Scott Pilgrim’ and my second draft is very much overdue to Marvel.”
“It’s something that I’ve written and they very much liked the first draft that we did, me and Joe Cornish, so we’re excited to get back into it again,” said Wright.
Marvel Studios is going into overdrive with initial preparations for their Avengers movie. Right now the productions are underway for Thor, which is in post-production, and Captain America: The First Avenger. Keep an eye out during Comic-Con this July, because you just know that they’re going to show off some more neat footage of Kenneth Branagh’s Thor at the annual Marvel panel.
