Dustin Hoffman returns for Little Fockers re-shoots
Dustin Hoffman was originally written out of Little Fockers, but it looks like he will be making his return. The film has tested rather well with test audiences, but Universal is looking to make it better. So, they decided to bring in back the cast for re-shoots as well as Dustin Hoffman.
Deadline Hollywood reports that these re-shoots will consist of half a dozen new scenes, four of those will involve Hoffman. The studio couldn’t reach a deal with the actor, but was able to reach a deal that is “not dissimilar to what we were pitching him in the beginning,” according to a source. The studio will reportedly be paying Hoffman the same salary that was originally offered to him in the beginning. “It’s costing what we were going to pay him in the first place,” according to a source.
Hoffman will star in one scene with Barbara Streisand, and in another involving all the main cast. Other scenes will focus on Ben Stiller and his Little Fockers. These re-shoots will take place in September.
Little Fockers will open on December 22, 2010.

This is one movie I’m looking forward to big time. I’ve loved the series so far! It’s good that Hoffman will be back.

I loved the first one and enjoyed the second, but I think a third is a little much. I’ll see it regradless.
