DreamWorks gets Fleischer buddy cop comedy

DreamWorks swoops on in today and makes a move as they buy the script for the untitled action/comedy pitch that already has Ruben Fleischer attached to direct, states The Hollywood Reporter. The story is rumored to be a buddy cop comedy, something that has recently been made popular once again by the Kevin Smith directed feature Cop Out. Although Fleischer pitched the idea, the script will be penned by Chris Poole and Mike Arnold.

Producing the feature is Gavin Polone and Nicholas Stoller. This is the latest project that Fleischer is attached to ever since his hit horror comedy feature Zombieland came out in theaters last year.
