Dragons give the competition a beating

Well, to a certain degree that is. DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon reigns supreme for yet another weekend as it takes in $15 Million. Your probably thinking okay, so does that mean that there wasn’t really any sort of competition this weekend for the animated fantasy? That’s where your dead wrong, because there were three wide releases (technically two since DisneyNature’s Oceans was released on Thursday) this Friday that were plenty of competition for the film.

Apparently there were quite a few people aching to see Jennifer Lopez back on the big screen CBS Films’ The Back-up Plan ended it’s first weekend in the comfortable second place with $12.2 Million. Unfortunately not much can be said about the some-what underperforming comic book adapted feature The Losers, ending it’s first weekend with $9.6 Million in it’s pocket in fourth. Last but not least is the previously mentioned DisneyNature’s Oceans, wrangling in $6 Million for it’s first weekend. Continue reading on to check out the rest of the totals from Box Office Mojo.:
