Downers Grove adds a Hero and a Cullen
More news from the AMF, a new film which has been promoted there Downers Grove has just added Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) and Nikki Reed (Twilight franchise) as their stars. Rebecca De Mornay, fresh off Mothers Day has also been added to the cast.
The film is said to be a high school horror/thriller type, based on the novel by Michael Hornburg. The screenplay has been adapted by Bret Easton Ellis author of American Psycho and Less Than Zero. The novel centers on the last few weeks of Chrissie’s Senior Year in High School, where she begins to feel the strange curse at the school coming on. The curse causes someone in the graduating class to die a strange death.
The director of the Prom Night remake Nelson MCormick is on board for this one, and filming is said to be taking place in Louisana next spring. President of Myraid Pictures (Who are doing the international distribution) said: “We are very excited about this project, the combination of the thriller genre, a very popular and well-known cast, Bret Easton Ellis’ dynamic screenplay and Nelson McCormick’s incredible skill with young actors and ability to create tension and terror onscreen is just unbeatable.”
