Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead goes in the remake oven

What a surprise, yet another movie is being remade, oh how dare they. At this point if your still upset over any of these upcoming remakes then I don’t know what else to say to you other than to suck it up, because thanks to sudden hits like the recent Karate Kid film, this trend isn’t going anywhere.

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead is the 1991 Stephen Herek comedy that starred the foxy Christina Applegate. The story revolves around five kids who are left home when their mother leaves town on a three-month vacation, only to have their geriatric babysitter die of a heart attack, leading to the eldest teen, Sue Ellen, to scam her way into taking a job at a hip Los Angeles fashion company to feed and support her needy siblings.

Producing the film is Mark Gordon but no word yet on who will write the remake, reports Pajiba.
