DiCaprio set to be a Viking

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 14, 2009 – 10:11 amNo Comment

dicaprio2009No, Leonardo DiCaprio is not going to suddenly don a football uniform, rather some huge horns as he signs on to star in Mel Gibson’s newest period piece. Gibson is in the director’s chair with powerful producer Graham King producing under GK Films. Gibson will be producing as well along with Tim Headington under Icon Productions. There is no real plot synopsis that has been released yet for this untitled film other than the plain fact that DiCaprio will be a viking.

“This will be an awe-inspiring story, created with some of the industry’s finest cinematic talent, and I am just over the moon to be making this film with Mel, Leo and Bill,” King said in a statement after the principals confirmed the project to Daily Variety. (Variety) DiCaprio is next to be seen in the February release of Scorsese’s latest directed piece entitled Shutter Island.
