Dial M for…Blu-ray!

Over on Blu-ray.com, rumor has it that Warner Home Video will be releasing Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece thriller, Dial M for Murder on Blu-ray in 2010! Originally, Hitchcock shot the film in 3D (yes, 3D was all the rage even back then), but no word on whether this could be included on the disc. Judging by how little of those older 3D films are on Blu-ray, I hope Hitch fans will keep their anticipations in check. One of the only older 3D films on Blu-ray is Paramount’s Friday the 13th: Part 3D.

Now, Dial M for Murder has been released on DVD numerous times with may fine releases featuring good extras, so let’s hope WB port those over. No word on extras or cover art, but the site seems to think the 1998 remake A Perfect Murder could be packaged with it, like WB has been doing with their latest batch of budget Blu-ray titles. We will keep you all posted.
