Diablo Cody is surprised Fox didn’t draw a crowd

Diablo Cody’s Jennifer’s Body showed me two things: 1) Megan Fox cannot act and 2) she wasn’t a box-office draw. Well, in an interview The Academy Award winning screenwriter is surprised that Megan Fox didn’t draw a crowd and that she blames herself for the film’s failure at the box-office.

Digital Spy has the interview:

“I am surprised more boys didn’t come out for Megan [Fox]. But I own my own failure. I hate it on American Idol when they do a horrible performance and they go,’Well, I had fun’. I think that’s bullsh*t. If you failed, you didn’t have fun.”

I’ve never been a fan of Megan Fox, no matter how hot people (Jon, Donny) think she is. When it comes to movies, I’m more interested in a cast members performance than their looks, and it seems that many agree when it comes to Megan Fox. I had lost pretty much all interest in the film after I heard Fox was cast in the lead role, but still reserved judgment until after I saw it. If you ask me, the reason many guys didn’t come to see the film, was that the trailers teased us about Fox’s nudity and it didn’t show anything.
