DC Entertainment revs up their movie list
Along with the announcement reported earlier of Warner Bros Pictures’ new release slate, there was also the tie in of the films coming out from the DC Comics sector. Marvel and DC have been butting heads for awhile in the comic section, and now that Marvel is reigning supreme in the movie box office with releases such as Iron Man 2 and others, DC Entertainment is hauling out the big guns and is ready to keep themselves on an even playing field.
The Flash is getting the green light, and might be pretty close to grabbing a release date, says Heat Vision Blog. That’s all fine and dandy but what about getting a cast and crew together prior to? Then again, it’s no surprise considering that they’re doing the same thing with Man of Steel and Batman 3.
Batman 3 is being looked at for a possible July 20th, 2012 release which is very good to know, especially if your one of those loons who thinks they world is gonna end in December of that year. Man of Steel is set for a summer 2012 release with word that development for Wonder Woman and Aquaman are underway. Does that mean we’ll finally get to start seeing who they want as Wonder Woman and not constantly conjure up our own versions of who should be the Amazon princess?
What do you think of Warner Bros Pictures/DC Entertainment’s sudden move to go and compete with Marvel Studios and put together the same sort of individual movies to lead to it’s eventual Justice League film? Is it about time or too little too late in the game?
