Davis Guggenheim may direct Justin Bieber biopic (Updated)
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that pop star, Justin Bieber would star in his own biopic. The film is said to be Bieber’s version of 8 Mile, and would also star in the lead.
Now, Deadline Hollywood reports that a director is in talks to helm the project, and will shoot in 3-D.
Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) is negotiation with Paramount to take over the project. The film has yet to receive an official title, but a release date has been set for February 11, 2011.. Performances from Bieber’s most recent concert tour are reportedly going to be featured into the film. Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun will produce along with Def Jam Chairmen  L.A. Reid.
Update: Deadline Hollywood reports that Guggenheim has dropped out, and Paramount has begun interviewing directors.
