Darby is one of the Love Birds
Flight of the Conchords‘ Rhys Darby is making his way back to New Zealand as he signs on to co-star with Sally Hawkins in the New Zealand/UK production of Love Birds. In the story he plays somebody nursing a wild bird back to health after his girlfriend dumps him, then meeting a kooky vet played by Sally Hawkins, says Deadline.
Paul Murphy is directing the picture from the script put together by Nick Ward. Rhys Darby appeared last year in the Richard Curtis feature Pirate Radio and finished wrapping up filming for Coming & Going.
