Dano is going For Ellen

Paul Dano signs himself star in the latest independent drama entitled For Ellen. Dano will be playing a struggling indie rocker who, after nearly wrecking his car during an overnight long-distance drive, arrives in a small Midwestern town to deal with his impending divorce (Variety). Directing and penning the film will be So Yong Kim, who’s previous works include Treeless Mountains and In Between Days.

Producing will be Kim along with Jen Gatien and Bradley Rust Grey. Initial filming begins next month in New York. Dano recently lent his voice out to the Spike Jonze animated/live action hybrid feature of sorts called Where the Wild Things Are and is appearing on the big screen in The Extra Man and Knight & Day.
