Cruise signs on for MI4

Yes, first off, there is actually a Mission: Impossible 4 in the works if you’ve forgotten. Second, it looks like Tom Cruise is once again reprising his role as the trigger happy Ethan Hunt and will be producing alongside J.J. Abrams, states Deadline Hollywood. The script is penned by Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum and Paramount Pictures is currently in the midst of finding a director. Filming is planned to start up during the early summertime with a Memorial Day 2011 release, depending on how quickly they can put everything together.

J.J. Abrams has been batting around the idea for awhile of possibly doing a forth installment to this spy franchise, and now it’s finally coming to fruition thanks to the collaborative effort of Paramount Pictures. The thing was, Paramount and Cruise were apparently not too fond of working with each other again, but that quickly changed since Cruise has been quite the bankable star for years. Cruise will next be seen on the big screen co-starring alongside Cameron Diaz in Knight & Day.
