Craig looking at Cowboys & Aliens

Submitted by Melissa Molina on January 13, 2010 – 10:29 pmNo Comment

Daniel Craig might be quickly filling up the role that Robert Downey Jr. walked away from in Jon Farveau’s Cowboys & Aliens. Collider reports that the Quantum of Solace star is in negotiations to take on the role of Zeke Jackson in the comic book adaptation, which is pretty quick considering the fact that it was just only yesterday when we reported about Downey Jr. jumping ship due to the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

In Silver City, Arizona, Apache Indians and Western settlers must lay their differences aside when an alien spaceship crash lands in their city. Penning the script is Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci along with Damon Lindelof. Producing the DreamWorks SKG and Universal Pictures feature is the three writers along with Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. The release date for the film is still to be announced, but is said to be slated sometime in 2011.
