Cowboys & Aliens shifts their release date
The science fiction comic book adaptation of the Scott Mitchell Rosenberg created Cowboys & Aliens is moving around to a brand new release date of July 29th, 2011, says The Wrap. DreamWorks must be pretty confident with what they have if they’re throwing yet another comic book adaptation into the flames of the summer time. The picture is being directed by Jon Farveau, who is already coming out with Iron Man 2, and was penned by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci while being co-written by Damon Lindelof.
In Silver City, Arizona, Apache Indians and Western settlers must lay their differences aside when an alien spaceship crash lands in their city. The film stars Daniel Craig who just recently took over the role after Robert Downey Jr. dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with the sequel to the Christmas Day released Warner Bros. feature Sherlock Holmes. Also latched onto the cast is Olivia Wilde in the DreamWorks SKG and Universal Pictures flick.
