Could WB force Nolan to do Batman 3 in 3D?
IGN is reporting that HBO is launching a 3D HBO channel next year and that Inception will be getting a 3D post-conversion. Nolan has been curious on the format but wasn’t convinced to shoot Inception - one of 2010 biggest films – in the format. “The cable net is part of the same larger corporation as Warner Bros, and the 3D Inception would make for a big splashy debut for the new channel”, says IGN. “Prevailing opinions at Warner are that Nolan will not enjoy the luxury of taking a pass on 3D for the new Batman movie, which will surely be set up for 3D from the beginning.”
Nolan said if fans want it in 3D he’ll do it, but only in the right way. We shall see, with a huge pending announcement somtime in the Q4 of 2010. Batman 3, as it’s being marketed by us websites, will be released July 20, 2012. The same year, Marvel will have a new Spider-Man film and The Avengers, both in 3D, which could leave WB to counter-attack.

I actually think it would be sweet to see Batman 3 in 3-D. I can definitely tell if it is, then the box-office will kick Avatar’s ass.
