Costner puts together A Little War of Our Own
Kevin Costner is putting himself in front of and behind the camera as he sets himself to star in and direct A Little War of Our Own. The feature is backed by Beacon Pictures, being produced by Armyan Bernstein. Bernstein spills a bit to Variety about the latest picture.:
“This has been a dream project for Kevin and I for years,” Bernstein said. “The themes are timeless — war, peace and reconciliation. The canvas is epic — look at the movies Kevin has directed.”
The picture, penned by Dan Gordon, is about a sheriff who must try to keep a town from exploding into violence. The last feature that Costner directed was the western Open Range in 2003, so it’s been quite awhile since he’s been in the director’s chair. Beacon Pictures has a bit of a relationship with Costner professionally, also being the company backing his last directorial effort.
