Conan has been found

Actor Jason Momoa has been casted to be the badass barbarian in the Conan remake. The actor of several television shows including Stargate Atlantis and Game of Thrones was picked over lord knows how many other ultra-buff actors, finally making the Lionsgate and Millenium Films feature look as alive as it’s ever been.

The feature is being directed by Marcus Nispel who’s directed other features like the Friday the 13th remake. Filming is expected to start in Bulgaria on March 15th, making the feature hop right on track for it’s to be announced 2011 release date. Also set to possibly be cast as Conan’s father Corin is super awesome Iron Man 2 villain Mickey Rourke, says Collider. The newest draft of the script is currently penned by Andrew Lobel.
