Columbia is making Reese into a Pioneer Woman
Columbia Pictures is quite the busy bee today, the latest from the company being the deal made to go and put into production the project entitled The Pioneer Woman. The story is based off of a true story from a blog called thepioneerwoman.com, a blog by Ree Drummond that details how a detour on a trip from L.A. to Chicago led her to Oklahoma. There, she met the cowboy of her dreams and transformed from spoiled city girl to domestic ranch wife, says Deadline New York.
Reese Witherspoon is already reported to be attached to star on the feature, being produced by Pam Williams and Laura Ziskin. Witherspoon recently got attached to a couple of different projects, the most popular of them being Water for Elephants which already has other actors like Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz on board.
