Clash of the Titans sequel is moving forward

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that a sequel to Clash of the Titans is moving forward, but Loius Leterrier will not be directing:

“Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures are moving ahead with a sequel to Clash of the Titans, which the studio would like as early as spring, 2012. But they will make the journey without Louis Leterrier, who will not return for an encore as director.”

Leterrier will still be attached as executive producer, and Sam Worthington is set to return as Perseus. The studio is currently looking for a new director at the moment, but is hoping to begin shooting before Worthington begins Avatar 2. Greg Berlanti will be writing the story.
