Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant trailer

Whether or not you’re sick of the vampire trend that’s permeated nearly every type of media we have, from movies like Twilight to TVs stellar True Blood, it seems the vampire fascination will not be ending anytime soon. Even the zombie trend is still going strong.

Today though brings us The Vampire’s Assistant, that was originally titled Cirque Du Freak, but was changed to further emphasize the fact that vampires appear in the film. Freak so far seems to be a lot of fun, and a bit refreshing in comparison to a lot of what’s out in the market currently.

The film opens in theaters October 23rd and is directed by Paul Weitz (brother to New Moon‘s director Chris Weitz), whose previous credits include About A Boy and In Good Company.

The Vampire’s Assistant contains Salma Hayek as the bearded lady, John C. Reilly as the lead vampire, Patrick Fugit as the snake boy, Willem Dafoe as another vampire and Ken Wattanabe.
