Cillian Murphy in negotiations to join I’m. mortal
Cillian Murphy, the Irish actor who starred as villains in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins as The Scarecrow, then Jack Rippner in Red Eye, took on a different route with his role in Inception, but it looks like he’s back into the bad guy role in I’m. mortal.
Heat Vision Blog reports that Murphy is in the final negotiations to play an officer in an organization known as the Timekeepers. His character his described as “precise as the time he keeps.” He’ll be joining Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in the sci-fi thriller set in the future where the aging gene has been turned off.
Marc Abraham and Eric Newman will be producing the film, with Andrew Niccol set to direct. Production on the film is looking to begin in late September.
