Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things set for remake
Robbie Little the co-president of Accelerator has said they are going to team up with Fangoria Entertainment’s new Gravesend Film Enterprises to produce a bunch of horror films. Gravesend consists of a partnership between Thomas DeFeo (owner of Fangoria) and producer/distributor Steven Mackler.
First up on the menu for them is a remake of the 70′s zombie film Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things. Mackler has stated that the remake will be an updated version of the film, more contemporary. It will include a new twist to lure audiences. Mackler, DeFeo and Little will be credited as executive producers for the upcoming film.
Along with this, they also have a novella by Elizabeth Hand titled Cleopatra Brimstone up for a film adaptation. This will mark Gravesend’s first venture into the production of horror films. DeFeo has said that going into the production of feature films is something they had been aiming for since his acquisition of the brand name and magazine some three years ago.
