Chernin talks Moses
The Bible becomes a source of inspiration, this time for Peter Chernin and his production company Chernin Entertainment. The former Twentieth Century Fox CEO is taking on the whole story of Moses and having it told once again on the big screen. It will be told “…from his near death as an infant to his adoption into the Egyptian royal family, his defiance of the Pharaoh and deliverance of the Hebrews from enslavement (Variety).”
Twentieth Century Fox will team up with his production company for this unnamed project along with “Accepted” writers Bill Collage and Adam Cooper penning the script. Producing is Chernin himself and Dylan Clark who is also under the Fox-based Chernin Entertainment. Currently aiming for this version to be “Braveheart feel to…The Ten Commandments”, Chernin is definitely getting his work cut out for him. He adds this onto his already filled plate that includes in-development projects like Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way with “The Deep Blue Goodbye” and the comic book adaptation of “Queen & Country”.
I hope they do this right or else a lot of people are gonna be pissed off.
