Bringing out Night & Fog
Gil Adler and Shane McCarthy are teaming up to option the rights for the comic book adaptation of Night & Fog. The World War II based comic centers on an infectious mist unleashed on a military base that transforms its victims into preternatural creatures of the night. But when the survivors try to kill them, they adapt and change into something even more horrific and unstoppable (Variety). The comic was created by writers Alex Leung and Matthew Bradford under publisher Studio 407.
Adler has already done his fair share of producing comic book adaptations before, being previously attached to the Bryan Singer directed flick Superman Returns and appears to be attached to the sequel Superman: Man of Steel. Author Alex Leung will also be serving as a producer on this project. No word yet on who’s being looked at to direct this piece.
