Breck Eisner vs. McG: Who will direct Ouija?

The search continues for the director of Universal’s feature adaptation of Ouija. We’ve already heard in late-October that  Sylvain White (The Losers) and Scott Stewart (Legion) were up for the job, but negotiations with the studio didn’t go well. Now, two more names are competing to sit in the director’s chair.

The Hollywood Reporter gets word that McG (Terminator: Salvation) had presented his vision for the film yesterday, but Breck Eisner (The Crazies) has also met with the studio about the job last week. We don’t know much about the script written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Tron:Legacy), but it was recently revealed the film will be more of an adventure than a horror film (here). A release date for November 9, 2012 has already been set, and the studio may want to get a director attached quickly.
