Breaking Dawn split finally confirmed

While we know the director and the casting for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, one question has yet to be answered; will the movie be split into two films? The split has been speculated for awhile now, but Summit Entertainment finally confirms it.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Summit will shoot the films back-to-back. The first of the two will hit theaters on November 18th, 2011, but the release date for part 2 has yet to be announced.

The films are currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg and Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and author Stephenie Meyer will be producing. Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson will return along with the rest of the original cast. The films are set to begin production this fall.
