Brazil shoots for Breaking Dawn canceled

Production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has yet to start, but it has already found major problem. Producers planned to film the scenes involving Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) honeymoon in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but a recent hostage situation has made them nervous about the location.

According to the Daily Fill, a firefight between police and a drug gang with 35 tourists taken hostage has prompted producers to change filming locations in the city. While the gang has already surrendered, Twilight producers aren’t willing to put Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart within 1,000 miles of the city. The scene takes place in Brazil in the books, and the studio was hoping to film in that location. The officials are currently trying to convince Summit Entertainment to film there anyway. Production will begin this November.
