Brad Pitt moving forward with The Big Short
It was rumored earlier this year that Brad Pitt and his company, Plan B would be adapting Michael Lewis’ The Big Short. Vulture now confirms it, but that Paramount is hiring screenwriter Charles Randolph for a good deal of money.
Lewis’ book is about the 2008 financial meltdown. Pitt is also attached to star in an adaptation of another book from Lewis, Moneyball. With films on the War in Iraq tanking at the box-office, does this mean audiences want to see a film on our bad economy? It seems so as this isn’t the only film on economy as Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps arrives this September.
