Bill Murray the cause of no Ghostbusters 3?

Ghostbusters 3 has long been rumored to happen, and recently it seemed like a go after Harold Ramis wrapped Year One. There was that new video game they brought back the cast as voices. But recently on XM’s Howard Stern Show, National Enquirer columnist Mike Walker told Stern that the cause of Ghostbusters 3‘s delay is-Bill Murray.

Contract hold out? Bad script? Money? What is it? Apparently, he is a jerk.

“Dan Aykroyd called ‘ol pal and Ghostbusters co-star Bill Murry and snarled ‘stop acting like a jerk‘. Murray, despite agreeing to doing the film, has suddenly turned so cranky and mean, he refuses to answer phone calls. Producers gave Bill script approval needed for his cooperation, but that can’t even seem to get him on the phone to talk about the script. He’s even told ‘em that his character needs to be killed off in the opening minutes of the film.”

Nice. Personally, maybe we are better off without a third film. Either way, this could all be hearsay, but for fans, it’s irritating.
