Biel to be in State of the Union?

Jessica Biel currently is in the middle of negotiations to co-star alongside Richard Gere in remake State of the Union, says CS!. The Garry Marshall film is being penned by the Straw Dogs remake writer Rod Lurie. If Biel does sign on, this would mark the second time she’s worked with Marshall, the first being the recently released film Valentine’s Day.

The original came out in 1948 and starred Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, telling the story about a businessman who must reunite with his estranged wife in order to improve his campaign run for the President of the United States. No word yet on whether or not Marshall will make State of the Union or the sequel to Valentine’s Day his next directing priority.
