Benicio is Making Jack Falcone

Benicio Del Toro is sneaking his way into the mafia as he signs on to play the lead in Making Jack Falcone. The picture will be directed by nobody at the moment, but Steven Soderbergh is producing along with Stacey Sher, John Henson and Michael Shamberg. The script for the story, based on actual events, was written by Peter Buchman. Del Toro has previously worked with not only Buchman but Soderbergh in the two part biopic Che.

Before he retired, Garcia took down 39 members of New York’s Gambino Crime family. The Cuban-born G-man was so convincing while pretending to be Italian that he was invited to become a made man before the feds broke out the handcuffs (Deadline Hollywood). No word yet not only on who will be directing this picture but what studio or production company will eventually put this under their wing for distribution.
