Ben Affleck may direct Arizona

Alright so far its a pretty slow news day so lets get things started with this new info we have received Regarding the former Bennifer .   According to Variety Ben Affleck is in talks to direct an upcoming miramax drama entitled Arizona. The film will tell the :  true story that began with the death of Don Bolles, an investigative reporter for the Arizona Republic. In 1976, Bolles was killed in a car bomb explosion as he was investigating the infiltration of organized crime into state government.

Bolles was a co-founder of a group called the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), whose members rallied to his cause shortly after his death, completing the work that Bolles had begun.

Personally after seeing Afflecks previous directing effort with Gone baby Gone i couldn’t be more thrilled .  I much rather prefer Ben behind the camera rather than in front as aside from his Kevin Smith roles I have never really connected with any of his characters but found his direction behind the camera assured and quite promising.
