Bello grabs some Emergency Sex

Grown Ups actress Maria Bello is climbing on board to star in the HBO series in the works called Emergency Sex. The series is being executive produced by Robin Hood star Russell Crowe, Simon Beaufoy and Bello herself. Beaufoy is in the middle of penning the HBO show, who’s previous writing credits include 127 Hours and the Academy Award winning feature Slumdog Millionaire.

Inspired by the book “Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures: A True Story From Hell on Earth,” by Kenneth Cain, Heidi Postlewait and Andrew Thomson, the project revolves around the larger-than-life exploits of expatriate nongovernment-organization workers who find their sanity tested in the face of atrocities, loneliness and primal desires (THR).

With this sudden scripted series being written up by Beaufoy, this would indeed mark the first time that the write has done something to be thrown out within the realm of television.
