Battleship teaser trailer coming soon

Many are already skeptical about the idea of a feature film of the game Battleship. The film already has an odd casting with Liam Neeson (Taken, Clash of the Titans),  Taylor Kitsch (X-men Origins: Wolverine), Alexander Skarsgaard (True Blood),  Pop-singer Rhianna, and Victoria Secret model Brooklyn Decker fighting off an alien invasion with Peter Berg directing. However, the game’s lack of story does leave the film open to just about anything.

However, audiences will get their first look at the film soon with the first trailer expected soon. According to What’s Playing, the first teaser trailer for the film is said to not be “ too far away.” The filmmakers have said to be testing several audiences to try and get the right feel for the trailer, and it’s said to be similar to 2007′s Transformers. According to the site it will feature “jazzy, quick glimpses of monstrous objects (in this case, a huge ship!), aliens, meteors and cities crumbling and being torn apart.”

Battleship is set to be released in May of 2012.
