Batman 3 script is underway
This is just a quick update on Nolan’s upcoming Batman 3. While speaking with Mtv News at a press junket for Inception, director Christopher Nolan was asked about the progress of his third (and possibly final) Batman film.
He confirms WB is aiming for a release date in July of 2o12. Currently, the script is being worked by his brother, Jonah Nolan, and is being based off the story that Christopher Nolan and David Goyer came up with. While Nolan has been busy with Inception and has kept his focus on that film. However, this should all change in a couple of weeks once the film is completed.
Nolan has already confirmed that he will not re-cast Ledger’s Oscar winning performance as The Joker. Also, Nolan is supposedly going to finish his Batman franchise with the film. There has already been speculation over who the villain will be and even recent rumors about who will be cast. The film is rumored to begin shooting in March of 2011, but Nolan wouldn’t confirm or deny it. I guess when Comic-con arrives next month we’ll hear an official announcement.
