Barraza calls to Thor

Adriana Barraza is the latest to go into negotiations to join the never-ending cast in the latest Marvel movie Thor. Barazza is set to play one of the humans, although which character in particular it will be is up in the air. She joins the cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Alexander, Tom Hiddelston and Anthony Hopkins with many more. The Kenneth Branagh directed feature tells the story of a partially disabled medical student Dr. Donald Blake discovers his heretofore unknown alter ego, the Norse warrior, Thor.

The movie begins shooting next week at Marvel’s Manhattan Beach, Calif., studios (THR). Barazza was last seen in Sam Raimi’s return to horror feature Drag Me To Hell and is involved in several films going through the early phases of production including Burning Palms.
