Bana goes up against Hanna

Eric Bana is negotiating to co-star alongside Saoirse Ronan in Hanna. The Time Traveler’s Wife star will be set to play the father who trains the 14-year-old girl to be an assassin. She then leaves the wilderness for the first time to assassinate a high-ranking government official who has a lot to hide (Variety). The script is penned by Seth Lochhead with Atonement director Joe Wright helming the picture.

Producing will be Scott Nemes, Marty Adelstein and Leslie Holleran with Focus Features attached for distribution of the film. Bana can be seen in several films released last year, including Funny People and Star Trek. Ronan can still be seen in Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones which is still screening in some theaters nationwide.
