Avatar Blu-ray to have a deleted sex scene
According to recent interviews, James Cameron confirmed a sex scene between Jake’s (Sam Worthington) avatar and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). This is cuts short before anything too explicit is seen. Remember the film is rating PG-13.
Actress Zoe Saldana explains: “If you sync to your banshee and you’re syncing to a tree, why not sync into a person? I almost feel like you’ll have the most amazing orgasm, I guess. It was a very funny scene to shoot because there were so many technical things that sometimes you have to keep in mind that paying attention to all those might disrupt the fluidity of how a scene is supposed to take place.”
Zoe continues: “And because Jim was shooting for a PG-13 rating, we couldn’t move in certain directions. The motion would look a little too past the PG-13 rating standards. So it was really funny for Sam [Worthington] and me. We had a lot of giggles there.”

They don’t use their tails to sync with each other or to make “Sahelu” with animals/trees. They have regular (varied) lengths of hair … and a thicker, longer braid (both males and females) that contains the tentacle like parts that allow them to connect to nature and the animals. Look carefully, you’ll see when Neytiri shows Jake how to connect to the “horse” and later when he Jake connects with the Tree of Voices… that he uses the tentacles from the long braid of hair, not his tail.
