Asylum to release Princess of Mars

princessofmars_largeThose crazy mocksters at The Aslyum are at it again as a poster and trailer for Princess of Mars has been uncovered. According to the trailer the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs was the inspiration for James Cameron’s Avatar. It doesn’t look too bad and reminds me of a modern version of those Hercules films with Lou Ferrigno. Look for the DVD on December 29.

Synopsis: In this modern adaptation of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, US soldier John Carter finds himself inexplicably transported to Mars in the middle of a war between two alien races.
