Argghhh! Pirates 4 wraps up filming
On his Twitter, producer Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that filming on Rob Marshall’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tideshas officially wrapped. Production began in late-June, and continued for a total of five months. That could give us clear indication about how much CG the film will require. Bruckheimer also confirms that a teaser trailer will be shown in front of Tron: Legacy on December 17.
The film sees the return of Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Hector Barbossa (Geoffry Rush), and Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin Mcnally) as they search for the Fountain of Youth. They’re pursued on their journey by Blackbeard (Ian McShane) and his daughter Angelica (Penelope Cruz). The film takes the name of Tim Power’s novel, but is loosely based off it.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens on May 20, 2011.
