Arem finds a Frost Road

Keith Arem is having one hell of a year. Not only with the overall success of the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 but with his newest feature film project Frost Road. The director is hopping away from video games to movies as his script not only gets the green light but he gets to helm the picture as well. Coming along with him for the ride is producer Cary Brokaw who’s previous works include the wonderful HBO miniseries Angels in America.

Project revolves around a young man who awakens from a car accident to discover he is one of few survivors in the aftermath of a mysterious outbreak that’s struck a small coast town on the East Coast. Somehow immune to the contagion, he tries to save the remaining survivors as he struggles to prevent the deadly wave from spreading across the planet (Variety). Several production companies are attached, most notably Arem with PCB Productions and Brokaw with Avenue Pictures. After watching some of Modern Warfare 2 and especially observing the cinematic feel of the entire game, I’m really interested to see how Arem will go about with this project.
