Submitted by Melissa Molina on October 13, 2009 – 4:40 pmNo Comment

0679459278Jerry Bruckheimer Films is pulling all the stops to make sure that the newest novel adaptation “Apaches” gets thrown onto the big screen as soon as possible. The production company is throwing onboard scribes Sean O’Keefe and Will Staples, who both previously worked on writing “Lair”. The project will be under Touchstone Pictures with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

Script for “Apaches” will be loosely based on the gritty crime novel that revolves around a group of retired New York City cops who form a renegade unit to bring down the most vicious criminals in Gotham (Variety). The novel was written by Lorenzo Carcaterra who also wrote novels such as “Sleepers” and “Chasers”.
