Anchor Bay picks up a Solitary Man

Submitted by Melissa Molina on February 9, 2010 – 12:22 pmNo Comment

Anchor Bay Entertainment is able to take the rights to go and distribute the Brian Koppelman and David Levien directed picture Solitary Man, says The Film Stage. After it’s run in the Toronto International Film Festival, it lied dormant for awhile without any studio or production company making any serious bids. Now with Anchor Bay scooping up the feature, it could be possible that it could be released sometime at the later half of the year.

Solitary Man stars Jesse Eisenberg along with Michael Douglas, Mary Louise-Parker, Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito and Jenna Fischer. The plot revolves around a car magnate who watches his personal and professional life hit the skids because of his business and romantic indiscretions. The script is also written by Brian Koppelman who’s previous written works include Rounders, Knockaround Guys, The Girlfriend Experience and Ocean’s Thirteen.
