Mira Nair‘s upcoming film Amelia, has just been tapped to open The Doha Tribeca Film Festival.  Among the slate of 33 films premiering at the fest, others include:  An Education, The Greatest, The Informant!, A Serious Man, Bright Star,Coco Before Chanel, About Elly, Racing Dreams, Buried Secrets, The Time That Remains and Team Quatar.
I am a self aware film freak, and though many people believe it to border on fanaticism, I have always had a desire to be somehow connected to film. I have a very strong affection for horror films of all kinds, though judging from my film library many consider me to be a bit schizophrenic in my choices. For years now I have been the sole film critic for those around me as my head is basically an encyclopedia of film knowledge. I can always use examples from movies to answer questions or to solve problems that my friends may have.
