Alex González joins X-Men: First Class
Yet another mutant has joined the cast of what is already a large roster of characters in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class. Fans are already skeptical about the direction the film will be going, and the concern of having too many characters to focus on. Now, the Spanish site, Fotogramas, is reporting that Alex González has joined the cast.
He was first reported to play a new character called Tornado, but Comic Book Movies revealed González will be playing Janos Quested, a.k.a. Riptide. For those unfamiliar with the comics, Riptide has the ability to spin his body at high speeds. He’s also able to create shurikens from his bones, and use them as projectiles. Production is currently under-way in London.
X-Men: First Class will open on June 3, 2011.
